Global Super League to be held in July

The second season of the Global Super League  (GSL) is set to take place from July 8 to 18 later this year.

Bangladesh Premier League outfit Rangpur Riders became the champions of the inaugural edition, which was held  in Guyana year.

Although it's an invitational tournament, Rangpur Riders should get an invite to defend their title.

"The first GSL was a resounding success, with all five participating teams praising the exceptional facilities and warm hospitality they experienced in Guyana. We are excited to build on this momentum in 2025 and are delighted to confirm the tournament dates," GSL chairman and West Indies' World Cup winning captain Sir Clive Lloyd was quoted in a press release.

In the first season, Rangpur competed against Caribbean Premier League (CPL) side Guyana Amazon Warriors, Pakistan Premier League (PSL) side Lahore Qalandars, England's Hampshire and Australia's Victoria.

The inaugural edition took place in Guyana in November-December and Rangpur defeated Victoria in the final.
