Taskin, Fizz take two each to leave Zimbabwe reeling
Pacers Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman helped Bangladesh to a flying start, picking up four crucial wickets inside the Powerplay in their T20 World Cup Super 12 clash against Zimbabwe at the Gabba in Brisbane on Sunday.
In chase of a competitive 151-run target, Zimbabwe were left reeling at 36 for four after six overs as Taskin removed both the Zimbabwe openers -- Wessly Madhevere and skipper Craig Ervine -- while Mustafizur removed Milton Shumba and the in-form Sikandar Raza.
After being hit for a boundary the previous delivery, Taskin had Madhevere slash one to the deep third man for an easy catch in the very first over.
The right-arm quick struck once again in his next over. This time, he picked up the crucial wicket of Zimbabwe skipper Craig Ervine, who chased a wide delivery only to edge it back to the wicketkeeper.
Mustafizur, who was introduced to the attack in the final over of the Powerplay, made inroads quickly. He had Shumba chip one to Shakib Al Hasan at mid-off before taking the most crucial wicket of all, Raza's in the penultimate delivery of the over.
Raza holed one to square leg while trying to pull the Fizz but only ended up giving a catch to Afif Hossain.
