Dhaka's intense traffic congestion is brutal, an experience that, unfortunately, is now a daily event for Dhaka dwellers. According to a research the loss of resources due to traffic congestion amounts to 55,000 crore taka every year. And, in the month of Ramadan when all the Dhakaites take to the street to return home before iftaar, the city's traffic situation becomes literally uncontrollable. Is there any solution to this ever increasing problem? Won't Dhaka ever be able to become a traffic-jam free and an organised city?
