Cultural Jubilation 2019 held at Notre Dame College

Notre Dame Cultural Club recently organised a cultural festival titled, Mojo Presents 5th National Cultural Jubilation. Participants from 60 other renowned institutions participated in the event.

The event featured more than twenty competitions on the Bengali language and culture, with the participation of around 1500 students from all around Dhaka.  These included singing, dancing, reciting, photography and acting competitions among others.

For the first time, A Meme-Con, was also introduced as a part of the festival.  The Faculty of Arts, University of Dhaka, arranged two events, titled,Folklore Olympiad and Quiz on the National Anthem as a part of the event. Students and teachers from the Department of Dance, University of Dhaka, also performed Mohua'r Pala.

Liaquat Ali Lucky, the Director General of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy was present as the chief guest during the closing ceremony. Professor Dr Abu Md Delwar Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Art,University of Dhaka, attended the ceremony as the special guest. Honourable Principal of Notre Dame College Dr Fr.Hemanto Pius Rozario,CSC,  presided over the closing ceremony.

Md Azizur Rahman, the club moderator of Notre Dame Cultural Club also spoke at the event. The winners of the festival were awarded at the closing ceremony where renowned singers and dancers graced the stage.
