After months of uncertainty, concert enthusiasts finally have a reason to rejoice. Several concerts had been postponed in recent months due to security concerns. However, the wait is over, as two major concerts are set to take place today at separate venues in the capital, featuring an exciting lineup of musicians.
To mark six months since the victory of the July Uprising on August 5, the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement (SAD) is set to host one of Bangladesh’s largest open-air concerts. Titled “Rebuilding the Nation”, the event will take place on February 22 at Sher-E-Bangla Nagar in Agargaon, Dhaka, the former venue of the Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF).
Playing intricately groovy bass lines while effortlessly singing in tune with his ethereal voice at the same time, often clad in his signature hat and always well-fashioned both on and off stage, Shafin Ahmed was an epitome of showmanship. A tribute concert titled “Shafin Ahmed: Echoes of a Legend” has been organised to commemorate the legacy of the late band icon Shafin Ahmed. Set to take place on February 13 at Aloki in Tejgaon, Dhaka, the event will feature performances by fellow musicians in his honour.
The much-anticipated concert “Gala Night” for the Flower Fest 2025 event is set to take place at the MA Aziz Stadium in Chattogram on February 6.
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has finally arrived in Bangladesh, to specifically perform at a concert in Dhaka titled "Echoes of Revolution." The Pakistani singer touched down at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at midnight on Friday.

Dhaka Rock Fest 3.0 is all set to end the year with a bang, with day one of the concert beginning today from 11 am at ICCB Expo Zone. A total of 16 bands will be performing today. Organised by Banglalink and Sky Tracker Limited, the two day long musical event will greet audiences with a stellar line-up including Warfaze, Aurthohin, Artcell, AvoidRafa, Mechanix, Subconscious, Cryptic Fate, Karnival, Nemesis and Aftermath, among others.
There are few names in the history of Bangladesh’s underground music scene that ring with as much power and ferocity as Artcell, Black and Cryptic Fate. So iconic were these three bands in their individual forms, that they decided to come together and perform as a trio.
Artcell, Black, Cryptic Fate – the ‘ABC’ concerts were known to be a hallmark of the 2000’s and 2010’s. After almost a decade, these three mighty bands will return to the stage with the concert, ‘November Rain Volume 2’, on November 12.
