Mahmud Didar’s ‘Tomake Bhalobashar Por’ to premiere on Channel i

Inspired by Mahmud Didar’s short story “Alternative,” the screenplay “Tomake Bhalobashar Por,” written and directed by Didar himself, is set to premiere on Channel i, with production by Impress Telefilm.

Stage plays are now available on OTT

Audiences will now have the opportunity to enjoy renowned stage plays such as Prachyanat's “Circus Circus”, Aranyak's “Mayur Singhasan”, “Kohe Facebook”, “Jibon Songketer Jyoti Songhita”, and Ethika's “Neta Je Rate Nihoto Holen” on the platform. A new stage play will premiere every week.

Mamunur Rashid’s birthday festivities to run for 3 days

Mamunur Rashid played a significant role in the post-independence stage movement in Bangladesh. Some of his notable stage dramas include “Ora Kodom Ali”, “Gandharva Nagari”, “Che'r Cycle”, “Sankranti”, “Rarang”, “Target Platoon”, “Iblish”, and more. 11th 'Bangla Khayal Utsab' to begin in honour of Ustad Azad Rahman

The festival, featuring renowned classical ‘khayal’ musicians and more than 100 child artistes, will be taking place at the Channel i premises in Tejgaon from Wednesday evening (January 31) at 5:10pm to Thursday morning (February 1) at 9:00am. Additionally, Anonna Ruma is set to host the festival.

Victory Day specials across TV channels today

Today on Victory Day, marking the country's 53rd year of independence, both state-owned and private television channels will air special programmes underscoring the importance of the Liberation War and the subsequent independence of the country.

Khude Gaanraj Grand finale tomorrow

Starting in 2008, Channel i's children's musical reality show “Khude Gaanraj” has come a long way. Every year, the platform is getting bigger and better. The grand finale of the ongoing fifth season is set to take place on September 11 at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the capital. Ahead of the event, the programme's director Izaz Khan Swapan, who is also the Programme Planner and Project Director of Channel i, talked to The Daily Star.
