After a long hiatus, four iconic bands from the 90s are set to share the stage once again. The much-anticipated concert, titled “Dhaka Retro,” will bring together Nagar Baul, Ark, Miles, and Dalchhut for a memorable night of melodies.
Recently, singer and lyricist Bappa Mazumder introduced his solo, titled "Ek Cup Cha”, with lyrics by Sheikh Rana and music composed and arranged by Bappa himself. This release showcases Bappa's unique and distinctive style.
Dalchhut, the renowned band formed under the leadership of Sanjeeb Chowdhury in 1996, is set to release a new album titled “Sanjeeb,” in honour of its founding member.
The Sanjeeb Utshob Udjapon Parishad has been organising the event at the University of Dhaka (DU) every year since 2010.
Initially, Winrock International arranged a month-long series of concerts helmed by popular bands alongside a documentary presentation titled “Agun Pakhi” in four districts of Bangladesh, starting on May 4.
