One more day and it's election time for the northern part of the capital city. Residents of the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) will choose their mayor for the second time in four years since the first mayoral election of a bifurcated Dhaka was held in 2015.

Mayor is missed

As soon as the sun goes down, trucks and covered vans start occupying the Satrasta intersection in the capital's Tejgaon. First in ones and twos, then in their dozens, choking the intersection and creating a tailback there.

No change in tax-exempted income threshold for individuals
