The film “Mujib: The Making of a Nation,” which chronicles the life of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, was screened at Nandan yesterday (June 7), a traditional cultural center in Kolkata. This film is a joint production of India-Bangladesh.
Renowned cultural figure Asaduzzaman Noor and Professor Kaberi Gayen of Dhaka University's Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, jointly presented the prestigious award to filmmaker Juboraj Shamim.

Multifaceted star Chanchal Chowdhury’s new movie “Mujib: The Making of a Nation” is releasing on October 13. In this movie, he played the character of Sheikh Lutfar Rahman, the father of Bangabandhu, when he was middle-aged.
Renowned actors Chanchal Chowdhury and Fazlur Rahman Babu, who are also a part of the biopic’s cast, also praised Arifin Shuvoo’s efforts to portray Bangabandhu, at the press conference for “Mujib: The Making of a Nation” upcoming theatrical release, held yesterday at Sheraton Hotel, Dhaka.
Arifin Shuvoo responded to a question about how well he portrayed the role of Bangabandhu by saying, "I'm not the one who should judge that; the audience will. What I can say is that the film's director, Shyam Benegal, is quite satisfied with my performance. Additionally, Bangabandhu's family has seen the film and expressed their satisfaction. They have acknowledged the effort and hard work we put into it."
The music for "Ochin Majhi" is composed by Shantanu Moitra, with lyrics penned by Zahid Akbar and vocals provided by Rathijit Bhattacharjee. The lyrics originated from Dhaka and the final song was produced in Mumbai studios.
