March 7 holds a significant place in the records of Bangladesh's history, marking the day when Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman delivered his iconic speech at the Racecourse ground in 1971 – to ignite the flames of the liberation movement. Recognising the historical importance of this date, BTV has organised special events to honour the legacy of the Father of the Nation.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed her strong wish for the nation to witness the biographical film, "Mujib: The Making of A Nation" and she herself attended the premiere alongside the lead actor, Arifin Shuvoo.

The Biopic titled "Mujib: The Making of a Nation", directed by renowned Indian filmmaker Shyam Benegal, made its debut at the 48th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 13. The film celebrates the life and legacy of Bangabandhu.
The much-anticipated biopic, "Mujib: The Making of a Nation", portraying the life of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, is a collaborative production between the governments of Bangladesh and India. In this film, popular actor Zayed Khan plays the role of Tikka Khan. Recently, the look of Zayed Khan as Tikka Khan was released and caught the attention of the audience.
Former cultural minister Asaduzzaman Noor, who oversaw the film, was also present at the event.

The "official" trailer of eminent Indian director Shyam Benegal’s “Mujib: The Making of A Nation” would be released soon, according to actor Arifin Shuvoo, who plays the role of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the biopic. A preliminary trailer of the film was launched in the Marché du Film Commercial Branch at the Indian pavilion of the Cannes Film Festival, on May 19.
