Power supply was restored in some parts of Dhaka city under Maniknagar and Hasnabad grid substations and also a good number of districts under Sylhet, Chattogram and Mymensingh at 7pm. But supply could not be restored in the areas under Ulon grid substations in Dhaka.
Patients in several hospitals in Dhaka and Chattogram cities have been suffering as many parts of the country have been experiencing power outage since this afternoon.
After the national grid line failure this afternoon, people from residential and other complexes rushed to nearby petrol pumps to purchase fuel for powering their generators.
