Price of sugar has risen by Tk 13 per kilogramme while the price of Soybean oil has spiked by Tk 12 per litre, confirmed sources in the Ministry of Commerce.

With the new prices effective immediately, the sources said.

Consumers will now have to pay Tk190 for a one-litre bottle of soybean oil and Tk108 per kg of packaged sugar.

A five-litre container of soybean oil will cost Tk 925, up from Tk880. The price of palm oil has been fixed at Tk 121 per litre.
