Actress Sushama Sarker, a household name on stage, television, and film, has completed shooting for her latest project, “Solte”. Following an extensive shoot in the scenic Bandarban, Sarkar is back in Dhaka, gearing up for the release of what promises to be one of the most impactful biopics of the year.
Actress Sushama Sarker has showcased her talent in theatre, television dramas, films, and OTT platforms over the course of several years. The thespian has moreover been a long-standing member of the theatre troupe Desh Natak while dedicating her time to stage performances in Dhaka for over two decades.
“Acting in a Liberation War-based film is truly a different yet amazing feeling,” said Farzana Chobi on her upcoming Liberation War-based project, "Bhor".
On a parallel note, Sushma Sarker recently wrapped up shooting for another project, titled "Ekattor Korotole Chhinnomatha", helmed by director Rafiqul Anwar Russell. The government-funded film is inspired by Hasan Azizul Haque's essay and is focused on the theme of the Liberation War.
Speaking about her critically acclaimed short-film, “ICU”, Sushama said “ It was a turning point in my career. It was selected in 16 international film festivals and is continuing to gain accolades”.
