You can now react with any emoji on WhatsApp
Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook and WhatsApp's parent company Meta, recently announced on his official Facebook account that users can now react with any emoji on WhatsApp.
"We're rolling out the ability to use any emoji as a reaction on WhatsApp," stated Zuckerberg in his profile. He then listed some of his favourite emojis, which included the fist bump emoji and the 100 emoji.
About two months ago, WhatsApp released the feature to react to messages using emojis. However, before now, users were only restricted to using six standard emojis.
The additional emojis can be accessed the same way you would react to messages in WhatsApp - by long pressing a message.
Following the latest update, there will be a plus sign alongside the six standard emojis. Clicking on the plus sign will allow the user to access any other emojis they might want to use.
There are also different skin variations available with some emojis.
With this brand new feature, WhatsApp users are sure to get creative in their text chats.
