Reform commission proposes city government for Dhaka

The Public Administration Reform Commission today proposed the formation of the "Capital City Government" for Dhaka encompassing Narayanganj, Keraniganj, Savar, and Tongi.
The Chief Adviser's Press Wing disclosed this information at a press conference held in front of the State Guest House Jamuna.
Additionally, the commission has recommended dividing the country into four provinces and revising the designation of deputy commissioners (DCs).
A similar city government system is currently in place in Delhi, India.
The Public Administration Reform Commission submitted its report to Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus this afternoon. The commission's chairman, Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury, along with its members, handed over the report to the government.
