Emirates to add one more flight on Dhaka-Dubai route
Emirates Airlines is going to increase the number of daily flights on Dhaka-Dubai route considering increasing demands of international travelers.
Emirates Airlines holds the highest market share of international air travelers of Bangladesh as a foreign airline, currently operates three daily flights on Dubai-Dhaka route.
The fourth daily flight will be started from June 1, 2020 by a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with 42 business class and 310 economy class seats, said a release of the Emirates Airlines.
According to the schedule, the flight will leave Dubai around 10:30pm (local time) and will arrive in Dhaka around 5:20am next day while the return flight will depart Dhaka around 08:00am and arrive in Dubai around 11:00am.
The new flight has been carefully timed to create convenient connections for Bangladeshi travelers to several popular cities including London, Rome, Frankfurt, Porto, New York, Washington D C, Mexico City, Johannesburg and Cape Town, said Saeed Abdulla Miran, country manager of the Emirates.
The new flight will create additional 2462 seats and 280 tonnes of cargo weekly and raise the airlines' weekly passenger capacity to nearly 10,000 and cargo to 1,100 tonnes, Miran said
He said Emirates took the decision of increasing its flight frequency in view of the increasing number of international travelers here due to the country's robust economic growth.
Emirates has gradually grown its services in Dhaka over the last 33 years – from two weekly services in 1986 to three daily services in 2013 to meet the customers' demand.
During this time, the airline has flown over 9.9 million passengers between Dubai and Dhaka.
