[WATCH] Law breaking cop slaps man in India
A video of a law breaking Indian policeman slapping a man while riding a bike in Chandigarh went viral.
Later the cop was suspended for assaulting the citizen, reports NDTV.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. The incident took place yesterday at the Sector 36/37 dividing road in Chandigarh when the man, who was also riding a bike, stopped the policeman and pointed him out that he is violating traffic rule. Suddenly the cop slapped him.

In the video, Surinder Singh, head constable, is seen assaulting the citizen even not wearing his helmet properly.
Former union minister and Congress leader Manish Tiwari sought action against the policeman while uploading the video on his twitter handle.
Chandigarh police SSP Traffic Shashank Anand said the head constable has been suspended for misconduct and violating traffic norms.
