NSU pays tribute to Bangabandhu
North South University (NSU) on May 23 hosted a discussion to mark the 50th anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman receiving the prestigious "Joliot-Curie Medal of Peace", said a press release.
The event, organised by NSU's Centre for Peace Studies under the South Asian Institute of Policy and Governance, paid tribute to the iconic leader's commitment to promoting peace and harmony.
Ajoy Dasgupta, a freedom fighter, journalist, writer, and teacher of Dhaka University and Jagannath University, was present as the chief guest. NSU Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Md Ismail Hossain chaired the session.
Dr Abdul Wahab, assistant professor, PSS and coordinator, Center for Peace Studies, NSU; and Prof Abdur Rob Khan, dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, were, among others, present at the programme moderated by Asif Bin Ali of Media and Journalism Program, NSU.
