VC’s Resignation: Sust students continue protests
The students of Shahjalal University of Science of Technology (Sust) brought out a procession on the campus yesterday, as their demand for Vice-Chancellor Prof Farid Uddin Ahmed's resignation is not met yet.
Holding placards and photographs, they marched the campus during the procession, demanding that the VC must resign without any further delay.

On January 13, the residents of a female hall started a movement demanding resignation of the provost over misbehaviour. Later on January 16, it turned into anti-VC movement after police clashed with the protesters, leaving at least 40 students injured.
On January 19, 23 students started a hunger strike demanding the VC's resignation. Later they broke their fast on request of two former professors of the university -- Dr Muhammed Zafar Iqbal and his wife Dr Yasmeen Haque.
