No Mustafizur in Delhi Capitals’ IPL opener
Indian Premier League side Delhi Capitals sent a private jet for Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman, who on Saturday made the trip across the border to join the squad on the day of their first match of the league against Lucknow Super Giants.
The urgency to bring in the left-arm pacer might've suggested that 'The Fizz' would start for Delhi from the onset but he wasn't named in the best eleven which featured skipper David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Rilee Rossouw, and Rovman Powell as the foreign inclusions.
Warner's side opted to fill their foreign quota with batters and had left-arm pacers Chetan Sakariya and Khaleel Ahmed lead the pace attack which contributed to Mustafziur being left out.
Mustafizur has taken 46 wickets in 46 matches in his IPL career, having played for Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Mumbai Indians before Delhi Capitals acquired his service.
Delhi Capitals XI: David Warner, Prithvi Shaw, Mitchell Marsh, Rilee Rossouw, Sarfaraz Khan (wk), Rovman Powell, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Chetan Sakariya, Khaleel Ahmed, Mukesh Kumar
