I prepare Sabbir's favourite dishes on the weekend: Chumki

Theatre was popular actress Farzana Chumki's stepping stone to the small screen. Though she has a  very busy shooting schedule, she does manage to unwind now and then,  Here Chumki shares her idea of a holiday. 

How would you define a holiday?

Chumki: It means a day when there is no work stress or tension. It means a lot of fun.

How do you spend the day?

Chumki: Sometimes we get together at my home or Dipa Khandaker's house. We have great fun together. At other times, I go out with my sons and husband Mir Sabbir. But it all depends on how much free time we have.

Do you often go out to a restaurant with your kids on an off day?

Chumki: I often go with Sabbir and the children. But there is no fixed restaurant.

Do you cook up any special item on weekends?

Chumki: Usually Sabbir has no free time due to his busy shooting schedule. That's why I make his favourite dishes on weekends.  

Any memorable weekends----

Chumki: Once we and actor Zahid Hasan's family jointly visited Bangkok where we had great fun along with the children. We once went to USA where we also had a great time.

Do you visit places near Dhaka on a holiday?

Chumki: As my village home is in Ashulia, I go there if I can manage time. I can feel the essence of nature very closely from there.
