The decision to bring "Tirthojatri" to Dhaka was spurred by the success of its staging in New York. Many expressed the wish to witness the play in the country as well, and Tauquir couldn't resist the temptation of presenting the same play in two different cities with two distinct teams.

During his stay in Dhaka for a month or two, Tauquir Ahmed prepared "Tirthojatri" for the local stage. The team also rehearsed at Nakshatrabari Resort in Rajendrapur. In addition to the rehearsals in Dhaka, a nine-day residential camp was organised for the entire team, focusing on physical training and acting to improve various aspects of the drama.

Tauquir Ahmed's last directorial venture on the theatrical stage was "Pratisaran" in Dhaka, a production from several years ago.

The play "Tirthojatri", adapted from Humayun Kabir's story, will be showcased at the BSA till August 4.
