'Court Marshal' staged at JKKNIU

To celebrate the 47th Victory Day of our nation, recently, the students of the Theatre and Performance Studies Department of Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University (JKKNIU) staged the play, Court Marshal, which revolves around the Liberation War of Bangladesh. 

Adapted by SM Solaiman, the play is directed by Mazharul Hossain Tokder, a teacher of the department. Around 200 artistes including teachers acted in the production. A huge audience gathered at the venue and enjoyed the show. The play aims to inform the young generation about the spirit of the war.

Professor Dr AHM Mustafizur Rahman and Ujjol Kumar Pradhan, the Vice-Chancellor and Proctor of JKKNIU respectively, graced the occasion with their presence. Also in attendance were the Dean of Arts Faculty at JKKNIU, Professor Dr Sahabuddin Badal, the Teachers Association President at JKKNIU, Tapon Kumar Sarker, the Secretary at JKKNIU, Md Shafiqul Islam, Vice-President of the university, Dr Emdadur Rashed Sukhan and the Head of Theatre and Performance Studies Department, Ismot Ara Ela.
