None will be allowed to use Bangladesh for terrorism
About the government's “zero tolerance policy” against terrorism and militancy, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday reiterated that no one will be allowed to use Bangladesh's soil for terrorist acts against any country.
Hasina was in a meeting with the newly appointed Malaysian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Nur Ashikin Binti Mohd Taib at her Jatiya Sangsad office in Dhaka.
PM's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim briefed reporters after the meeting.
The prime minister underscored the need for further strengthening the cooperation between Bangladesh and Malaysia in various fields, including the socioeconomic and power sectors.
Hasina also stressed boosting trade and business ties with South East Asian nations alongside enhancing connectivity.
Pointing out the power, health and education sectors' cooperation between the two countries, she said a coal-based power plant is being set up at Moheshkhali with Malaysian cooperation.
