Clothing irons may become more expensive
The VAT on the home appliance may rise by a 5 percentage points
Clothing irons may become dearer as the government has proposed to increase the value-added tax (VAT) on the item in the national budget for FY25.
It was proposed to increase the VAT on the home appliance from 10 percent to 15 percent, said Finance Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali during his first budget speech at the National Parliament.
