Stocks inch up

Stocks in Bangladesh rose slightly in the morning session today.

The DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained 10 points, or 0.16 per cent, to 6,275 at 12 noon.

Turnover, an important indicator of the market, stood at Tk 381 crore.

Of the securities, 77 advanced, 99 declined and 160 did not show any price movement.

The Caspi, the all-share price index of the Chittagong Stock Exchange, inched up 5 points, or 0.03 per cent, to 18,482.

Of the issues, 38 rose, 40 retreated and 45 did not see any price swing.
