Stocks rebound after three-day slump

Stocks on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) edged higher in the first hour of trading today, snapping a three-session losing streak.
The DSEX, the benchmark index of the DSE, rose 20.71 points, or 0.40 percent, to 5,126.40 as of 10:56 am.
The Shariah-compliant DSES index gained 0.40 percent to reach 1,153.09, while the DS30, which represents blue-chip stocks, advanced 0.54 percent to 1,888.47.
Turnover, a key indicator of market activity, stood at Tk 76.35 crore during the period.
Of the 395 issues traded, 209 advanced, 72 declined, and 91 remained unchanged, signalling positive investor participation.
Tallu Spinning Mills was the top gainer, rising 6 percent, while Heidelberg Materials Bangladesh dropped the most, falling 4 percent.
