Mesbah Uddin appointed MD of IDLC Investments
Mesbah Uddin Ahmed has been appointed as the managing director of IDLC Investments Limited, effective immediately.
Ahmed had been serving IDLC Finance PLC as a deputy managing director and head of retail business, concurrently since August 1 this year, the non-bank financial institution said in a press release.
With over 29 years of corporate experience, including 25 years in banking, he joined IDLC in 2010 as the head of structured finance and corporate for Dhaka region.
During his 13-year tenure, he has made significant contributions to the organisation, demonstrating exceptional leadership and strategic acumen.
He began his career in sales and marketing at Singapore Airlines in 1995.
Ahmed previously served Dhaka Bank PLC, National Bank Limited and ONE Bank PLC and worked in different capacities before being promoted to his current role.
He is a member of Baridhara Cosmopolitan Club and Rotary Club of Dhaka Mahanagar.

He obtained his master's degree in finance and banking from the University of Dhaka and did an MBA from the London University of Technology and Research.
