Walton inks deal with Amazon to sell products globally

Local electronics manufacturer Walton has signed a deal with e-commerce giant Amazon to sell their products globally including the US.

Initially, Walton brand’s laptops, computers, mobile phones and home appliance products will be sold in the American market using Amazon’s platform, a press release said today.  

Shashank Pandey, country manager of Amazon BD, and Liakat Ali, executive director of Walton Group and CEO of Computer Products Division, signed the agreement at Walton’s corporate office in Dhaka on Thursday (August 22).

Zunaid Ahmed Palak, state minister for ICT, attended the event as the chief guest, the release added.
