Boy dies eating toxic fish in Dhaka

A minor boy died and three of his family members fell ill this evening after consuming toxic fish at Hajaribagh in Dhaka.

Ismail, 40, his wife Amena Begum, 32, their sons Akhtar Hossain, 15, and Arif Hossain, 5, of Kompanighat area consumed toxic fishes during their lunch and became ill after some time, said Sentu Dash Biswas, assistant sub-inspector at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost.

On information, neighbours rushed them to the DMCH where doctor declared Arif dead around 7:20pm, the police official added.
