Case filed over Badda AL leader murder
A case has been filed with Badda Police Station in connection with the murder of a local Awami League leader.
Farhad Hossain, 52, general secretary of Awami League's Badda unit, was gunned down by armed men as he came out of Baitus Salam Jam-e Mosque in North Badda after offering Jummah prayers on June 15.
Morshida Begum, wife of the victim, filed the case with Badda police station yesterday, said Kazi Wajed, officer-in-charge of Badda Police Station.
Four persons were named, while several others unnamed were mentioned in the First Information Report (FIR) of the case, the OC said.
Two criminals riding a motorcycle opened fire on Farhad and fled the scene leaving him on a pool of blood.
He sustained bullet wounds in his head and chest. He was taken to United Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
