Dialogue with city dwellers soon: Khokon
Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Sayeed Khokon will hold a dialogue with the city dwellers soon to listen about their problems.
The newly elected mayor came up with the announcement after joining his office around 11:00am today.
In his election manifesto, Khokon, son of former mayor Mohammad Hanif, had declared to hold “Dhaka Dialogue” with the DSCC citizens to listen to their problems.
He also vowed to take initiatives to curb corruptions in his city corporation area.
Earlier, councilors and DSCC staff greeted him when he reached the office in the morning.
Ruling Awami League-backed candidate Khokon defeated BNP-backed mayoral candidate Mirza Abbas by 241,005 votes in the April 28 city polls.
He was sworn-in as DSCC mayor yesterday.
