Advance bus ticket sales for Eid postponed

Although sale of advance bus ticket for Eid-ul-Azha was scheduled to begin today, private bus operators have postponed their services due to the unrest following the ongoing student protest demanding safe roads.

When the situation returns to normalcy, the bus operators will fix a new date for starting the sale of tickets, Saod Mosharref Hossain, general manager of Hanif Paribahan, told The Daily Star today.

Bus 'strike' makes people suffer

On July 31, private bus operators fixed today (August 5) to start selling advance tickets for home-goers ahead of the Eid-ul-Azha, which is expected to be celebrated on August 22.
