Fire fighters rescue a fox in Uttara
Starved most probably, the fox had gotten into a six-storied building and sulking at anyone who was trying to get near it.
Panic-stricken, dwellers vacated the building and called the emergency helpline 999.
And, within minutes, Fire Service and Civil Defence rushed to Uttara and launched into the rescue. After an hour of intense efforts, fire fighters managed to capture in the wild fox.
Uttara fire service’s Senior Officer Station Shafiqul Islam told The Daily Star, the fox evaded security of the building, located at Sector 10, Uttara, Dhaka, and ran around rampant, scaring the wits out of everyone.
Fire service responded immediately to the request of 999 and rushed to the scene. A team of fire fighters, led by Shafiqul Islam, rescued the animal alive and unharmed.
Last known, the fire service planned to release the wild animal into an open place at Sector 18.
