HC summons govt secy for explaining delay in relocating Dhaka tanneries

The High Court yesterday summoned the industries secretary to appear before it on May 19 for not relocating the tanneries of the capital's Hazaribagh by February 28, 2010 in line with its directive of June 23, 2009.
On October 30, 2010, the HC gave them six months more to relocate those.
The industries ministry took a project to move the tanneries to Savar in 2003. And 155 industrial plots were also allocated there for this purpose.
