Arrest warrant issued against Sefat Ullah
Dhaka Cyber Tribunal court has issued an arrest warrant against Sefat Ullah alias "Sefuda", a Bangladeshi expatriate in Austria, in connection with a case filed in the Digital Security Act.
Dhaka Cyber Tribunal Judge Ash Sams Joglul Hossain passed the order on September 29 after sub-inspector (SI) Partha Pratim Brahmachari of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit submitted an investigation report on September 25.
The plaintiff Alim Al Razi Jibon filed the case on April 23 accusing Sefat Ullah of derogatory remarks.
Jibon also accused him of using obscene words for Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the Facebook and YouTube videos uploaded by Sefat Ullah.
The court also fixed November 19 for the next hearing of the case.
