A mobile court at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport yesterday evening fined Qatar Airways Tk five lakh for carrying a Covid-19 positive passenger in its flight.

The mobile court also fined the respective passenger Tk 10,000 for his "irresponsible attitude" and sent him to a hospital for treatment.

Executive Magistrate Ali Afroz at the HSIA conducted the mobile court.

Earlier the mobile court at the HSIA had fined different airlines for carrying passengers without having Covid-19 negative certificates.

The mobile court had also fined a number of airlines for carrying passengers although they were Covid-19 positive.
