Attorney General Mahbubey Alam today expressed his satisfaction over the Supreme Court judgement upholding death penalty for Jamaat-e-Islami leader Mir Quasem Ali in a war crimes case.
We have got an expected judgement, Mahbubey Alam told reporters after the verdict.  
Earlier, the SC has sentenced former Islami Chhatra Sangha leader Motiur Rahman Nizami, Ali Ahsan Mohammed Mojaheed, and Muhammad Kamaruzzaman to death for their crimes against humanity during the Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971.
Mir Quasem was sentenced to death in the continuation as he was a leader of Islami Chhatra Sangha, the AG added.
