Two Ctg boys drown

Two minor boys drowned in a pond in Sandwip upazila of Chittagong today.

The deceased were identified as Md Jihad, 5, son of Md Nizam and Md Hamja, 4, son of Md Panna, of Bauria village, reports our Chittagong Correspondent.

Villagers found the bodies floating on a pond and rescued the duo, Dr Abdur Rob Faisal, medical officer of Sandwip Upazila Health Complex, said quoting locals as saying.

Doctors pronounced them dead after they were rushed to the hospital around 12noon, the doctor said.

Contacted, Abdus Salam, officer-in-charge of Sandwip Police Station, said he heard about the incident.
