2 shot dead in Ctg

Two youths were shot dead during an attack by rivals in Rangunia upazila of Chittagong in the wee hours of today. 

The bodies of Abul Kashem, 27, and Monjurul Islam, 28, were recovered from Madhyam Sharafbata area around 8:00am, our Chittagong correspondent reports quoting Mosheud Dowla Reza, assistant superintendent of Chittagong district’s Hathazari circle.

The body of Monjurul also bore mark of stab injuries, the police official said.

Kashem and Monjurul were accused in a case filed after one Ukil Ahmed was killed on March 1, Reza added.

They were killed in an attack by a group allegedly led by Ukil’s brothers soon after midnight, the police official said quoting Kashem’s family members.
