4 children drown in Natore

Four children drowned in a pond in Gurudaspur upazila of Natore this evening.

Deceased were identified as Rabbani Hossain, 3, Meghla Khatun, 7, both the children of Mintu Hossain, Ratri Khatun, 6, and Sandhya Khatun, 7, daughters of Shimul Hossain.

They drowned after they went to play near the pond in Bablatala area of Biyaghat village, Dilip Kumar Das, officer-in-charge of Gurudaspur Police Station, told our Natore correspondent.

Locals found the bodies floating in the pond around 8:30pm, the police official said.
