7 police officials promoted to add IG

The government today promoted seven senior police officials to the rank of additional inspector general (IG).

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia is among the seven officials, according to a home ministry circular issued yesterday.

The six other officials are Amulya Bhushan Barua, Dr Mohammad Sadiqur Rahman, Mohammad Nazibur Rahman, Md Mainur Rahman Chowdhury, Siddiqur Rahman and Mohammad Abul Qushem.
