Boy in grandmother’s custody after bail
A Dhaka court today allowed the grandmother to take custody of a minor boy, a day after he was granted bail in a bomb blast case.
The boy, now 16 as per the case, was given bail after languishing in jail in the case for two years.
He was arrested in October 2013 in the capital's airport area on charges of blasting three crude bombs during a hartal called by the BNP and its allies.
Judge Jesmine Ara Begum of the Juvenile Court, Dhaka passed the order after the woman prayed to the court for granting her to get the custody of the boy.
Earlier, AM Jamiul Haque Faisal, a lawyer of the Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust (BLAST) traced the woman and brought her to court.

“Police arrested me while I was going to visit my grandmother's home in the airport area,” said Faisal quoting the boy.
