Dense fog halts flight operations at Dhaka airport
Flight operations at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka remained suspended for six hours due to dense fog this morning.
A total of eight domestic and international flights could not fly to their destination since 4:00am, Rezaul Karim, spokesperson of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, told The Daily Star told The Daily Star.
The operations resumed around 10:00am six hours after its suspension, he said.
Spell of dense fog has been sweeping across the country causing disruptions to air and water ways for several days.
The lowest temperature in the country was recorded at 6.3 degree celsius in Chuadanga yesterday.
