‘Man behind Gulshan blast’ arrested
Law enforcers today claimed to have arrested one of the prime accused of the February 16 blast on the rally of Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan at Gulshan.
Rapid Action Battalion (Rab)-10 held Md Razaur Rahman alias Fahim, a BNP activist from Jatrabari of Dhaka at 1:15am, a text issued by the anti-terrorism squad said this morning.
He was held along with 20 firebombs and 20 crude bombs, the text read.
At least eight people were hurt in a crude bomb blast when the procession of shipping minister was rallying to besiege BNP chief Khaleda Zia's Gulshan office.
A case was filed in this regard on February 17 against Khaleda Zia, named as mastermind, and 13 other leaders and activists of the BNP.
