Man dies crushed between buses in Jatrabari

A middle-aged man died crushed between two buses while trying to board one of them near Jatrabari crossing in the city today morning.

The deceased was identified as Abul Kalam, 45.

Police, quoting witnesses, said Kalam was trying to get into a bus on the east side of Shahid Faruk Road near Jatrabari crossing around 8:30 am.

Suddenly, another bus came to the spot and he got squeezed in between the two buses, said Sub-Inspector Ranjit of Jatrabari police station.

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctors declared him dead around 9:00am.

The body was kept at DMCH morgue for an autopsy.

Jatrabari thana police detained two buses in this connection.
