No MCQ in primary terminal exams: Minister
The government has decided to drop Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) in Primary School Certificate (PSC) examinations from this year, Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman said today.
The minister revealed the information while replying to a question from reporters at a press briefing at Secretariat in the morning.
The decision came following some recommendations placed by the educationalists recently to prevent question paper leaks in public examinations.
The government also announced that around 82,500 students will get scholarships in two categories -- talent pool and general -- in the primary terminal examinations this year, he said.
A total of 33,000 students will get per month Tk 300 while 49,500 students will get per month Tk 225.
The list of the students will be available on the website of Primary Education Directorate (www.dpe.gov.bd).
