Ctg rail link with Dhaka, Sylhet suspended for 2hrs
Rail communications on four different routes including Dhaka to Chittagong and Chittagong to Sylhet were disrupted for nearly two hours after the engine of an intercity train went out of order in Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria.
The engine of Dhaka-bound train of 'Upakul Express' coming from Noakhal went out of order around 9:00am in Brahmangram area of the upazila due to a technical glitch, our local correspondent reports quoting Lutfur Rahman Mollah, station master of Kasba Railway Station.
The other two routes are: Dhaka to Noakhali and Noakhali to Sylhet.
The rail service on the four routes came to the normalcy after a salvage train reached the spot from Akhaura Railway Junction and removed the Upakul Express around 11:15am, said station master Mollah.
