BabyMonster, like Blackpink, is a transnational group with members from South Korea, Thailand, and New Zealand. It is made up of three South Koreans, two Thais, and two Japanese girls.

The new K-pop female band, BabyMonster, is set to make its debut as YG Entertainment's newest girl group in seven years. YG Entertainment is the South Korean record label that launched  K-pop supergroups like Blackpink and Big Bang.

BabyMonster, like Blackpink, is a transnational group with members from South Korea, Thailand, and New Zealand. It is made up of three South Koreans, two Thais, and two Japanese girls.

Since the band's first announcement on January 1, YG has gradually revealed information about the new group.

Haram, a 15-year-old South Korean who began her training at YG in 2017, was the first to be announced.

Ahyeon was the second member to be revealed. The 15-year-old South Korean is believed to have auditioned for YG in February 2018 and was approved by JYP Entertainment, the label behind Twice and Stray Kids, in 2017 when she was only 11 years old.

Rora, the third and youngest South Korean member, was previously a member of a local kids' idol group named U.sso Girl. Hyein of the girl group NewJeans was her bandmate there.

Chiquita, BabyMonster's 13-year-old youngest member, is one of the Thai members. She reportedly made her debut among all female K-pop musicians at the youngest age.

Pharita, a 17-year-old Thai member, and Asa, a 16-year-old, and Ruka, a 20-year-old Japanese member, are her fellow members.

The group's oldest member, Ruka, was the final one to be revealed earlier this week.

BabyMonster's official debut date hasn't been set by YG Entertainment, but it seems imminent given that the group now has official social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms.

As part of their Born Pink concert tour in Asia, their "seniors" at YG, Blackpink, will visit Singapore on May 13 and perform at the National Stadium.
