SI Shumon sings Ayub Bachchu’s song to life
Tonight, SI Shumon will release a song, tuned by Ayub Bachchu 21 years ago, on his official YouTube channel and various digital platforms. The track, titled "Shopney Dekha Ochinpurey", marks an important milestone in Shumon's music career, highlighting his unique style and new creative direction.
In a press release, reflecting on the song's history, Shumon shared that it was originally tuned by Ayub Bachchu in 2003, with Bappa Mazumder composing the overall song.
Shumon had plans to create an entire album, but after rejoining NTV, official commitments made it difficult to release songs. Although Shumon performed "Shopney Dekha Ochinpurey" during NTV's first-anniversary programme in 2004, it was never officially released.
Tonight, he will release the song featuring a bit of a new spin. SI Shumon remade it with West Bengal's Rajarshi Mitra, recording vocals in Bangladesh and sending them to India for Mitra's arrangement, which Shumon has praised as exceptional.
SI Shumon has released four albums and five singles and is recognised for his talents as a guitarist, composer, producer, singer, director, and broadcast audio engineer.
He has dedicated 17 years to serving as the Chief Audio Engineer at NTV and is now the Head of Events at ATN.
He is the founder and CEO of Impact Arrow Media Agency and also serves as a volunteer for the Sonar Bangla Foundation, a charitable organisation located in California, USA.
